Cheers, Jim. I'm sure you can answer my questions.
My Norwegian choir is visiting Manchester in November, and one of our altos is in a wheelchair.
The choir has also been to Italy, Basque Country, Catalonia, Russia, Hungary, Czech Republic. London etc since she has been in a wheelchair, and you can probably imagine how poorly those places were equipped.
Realistically, this is the last trip she'll make with the choir, she's very weak (she's not dying, just getting weaker) , so I want it to be perfect.
I have checked the accessible rooms in Jurys Inn, and they are fine (bar her needing a raised loo seat to be completely self sufficient - we'll buy one of them, that's not a problem). I'm after general information regarding taxis/free bus/pubs/restaurants with easy access for wheelchairs.
She's got an electric chair, so it's too heavy to lift (unless we dismantle it).
Basically, what should we avoid?

I'll do my best... I worked in Manchester for the last 10 years, although, I've only been disabled since 2006.

Hi Jim. I've got some questions regarding wheelchair access in Manchester, would you be able to answer those, do you think? I can't PM you, for some reason. Cheers, Vox
